Cradle Mountain Huts Walk    February 2022

Walk review from Susan Chislett, Cradle Mountain Huts Walk Tasmania

Not sure if there is enough space here but shall get started.

Our briefing and gear check list at Entally Lodge was amazing. Out guides, Peter, Cal and Shaun were spot on with the gear we needed to take. They were very efficient and wasted no time as we were all eager to get going.

We were the group with average age of 62+ (lowered with one member being in early 30's) that probably had high expectations of what we thought we could do, or had done. However, despite the aches and pains on day 1, we climbed Cradle, Oakleigh and some of Ossa, arriving back at our hut each night to an amazing wonderful meal. And the trek continued in the same wonderful manner with Shaun, Cal and Peter all encouraging us on, never doubting our ability, providing knowledge of local history, fauna, wildlife and more. We were never short of a good laugh, playing hilarious games and drinking great wine. The muffins will always be remembered as will the great adventure we had. We cannot thank you enough, Shaun, Cal and Peter for making at least my dreams come true.
