Cradle Mountain / Overland Track    April 2019

Walk review from Russ and Deb, Cradle Mountain / Overland Track

We loved every minute of our walk along the Overland Track.

We were fortunate to be part of a friendly, funny and supportive group of women (Russ the only bloke). Our guides, Linton and Jess, amazed and impressed us with their knowledge, stamina, and culinary skills. Their patience and encouragement was inspiring. We could not fault them. We were lucky to have mostly good weather, and even the one or two days of rain and wind didn't dampen our enthusiasm. Knowing we had a warm and comfortable hut to relax in at days end, hot showers, drying rooms for our boots and socks, a glass or two of wine, a delicious dinner and a cosy bed, kept us smiling through even the toughest days. But it was the mountains, plateaus, lakes, ancient forests, buttongrass plains and waterfalls that took our breath away and we will never forget. This experience will stay with us forever.
