My experience was not typical - but I write to share very positive feedback about the care I received from the guides when I fell and broke my wrist on the morning of day 3 of our walk.
Group leader Declan was cool calm and collected, directing operations and organising the helicopter evacuation. Trainee Angus was certainly thrown in the deep end. I felt confident that he was doing all that was required to monitor my condition. Their first aid was exemplorary.
Ironically, the evening before I had been chatting with another guest who had travelled previously with twc, and said I thought the real quality of the company is shown not when things go well, but when they go wrong. Little did I know that the next morning I would receive a personal demonstration of the excellence of twc in an emergency.
By the time I was released from Hobart hospital emergency department our bags had been delivered to the hotel booked by twc.
