Bay of Fires / East Coast    December 2019

Walk review from Julie, Bay of Fires / East Coast Tasmania

My partner, two friends and I were part of a guided Bay of Fires walk in early December.

We couldn’t have had a better experience. The guides Lewis and Jessie were passionate about the natural environment and imparted useful and interesting knowledge about the geography, fauna and flora as we walked. They are also excellent company and great cooks! We walked along pristine, spectacular, wild coastlines and kayaked along a meandering river. The Lodge and all the accomodation was just wonderful and the staff at the Lodge (Zane, Francesco and Maddy) were welcoming, fun and provided every comfort. I’d recommend this walk to anyone who loves the natural environment, likes a challenging but achievable walk and also wants some creature comforts too. Just wonderful- thank you.
