Bay of Fires / East Coast    February 2018

Walk review from Elizabeth, Bay of Fires / East Coast Tasmania

Fantastic! The Bay of Fires walk was so aesthetically beautiful - I had no idea how lovely the beaches, rock formations, vegetation all were. Something that really struck me, coming from Sydney was how remote this walk was - it was amazing NOT to bump into another sole along our hikes. I also thoroughly enjoyed the diversity of the walks - day one beach, day two the longer journey on both the beach and bush with landmarks such as the lighthouse to aim for and finally the Kayaking on Day 3. The food was absolutely delicious and our guides were The Best! Rory is an eloquent young man who looked after us all above and beyond what would be expected. His knowledge on the natural habitat was informative and he took great care to ensure we enjoyed our time. He was the perfect leader. Connor was a wonderful guide who also had a passion for The Bay of Fires. He was polite and funny and again was always on top form making sure we were happy. Brendan was a lovely trainee who worked well with Rory and Connor and it was great to have him on the trip.
